Educational Technology is initially identified with the means used in the classroom, which may include: blackboard, eraser, overhead projector, etc. A little later and under the influence of research on behavior analysis and modifications, an Educational Technology is proposed as strategy design, media use and control of communication systems.

Nowadays, we understand Educational Technology as a scientific approach based on the theory of systems that provide the educator with the planning and development tools, as well as the technology that seeks to improve the teaching-learning process through the achievement of educational objectives and the search for learning effectiveness.

The technology of educational processes refers to the design and planning of teaching with a central element of Educational Technology. Educational Technology is located within a broad curricular project in which there are already other areas of work that cover topics such as: Theory of Learning, Biological Foundations, Systems Theory, General Didactics, Cybernetics, etc.

When we talk about the contributions of sciences such as Didactics, we must point out their role in the development of models. On the other hand, it is in function of the chosen models that one or another technological vision is developed.

Educational Technology carries out the design of educational processes with reference to specific situations. In this sense, the distances are established in relation to the Didactic, which stimulates the general models, while the Educational Technology deals with the application of these models to specific situations.

The Educational Technology performs the design of educational processes understood as communication processes. This is a drastic reduction in the level of definition that until now allows the coexistence of different trends. In other words, although the importance and validity of other perspectives can not be denied, and their inclusion as an object of study is taken for granted, it is taken by a specific line.

Educational technology does not focus exclusively on the individual. This appreciation, otherwise obvious, stands out as a contrast to certain developments in Educational Technology in which the process has been insisted fundamentally. Realizes the design of didactic processes based on continuous evaluation research.

In a way, it is about collecting the current concern for a flexible technology that adapts to reality, and taking advantage of the results that are being provided by new trends in research that, in a somewhat debatable way, are grouped under the heading "action research". "

It is obvious that, if the need to establish goals or objectives arises, we must consider the need to evaluate if these or those are reached. However, the different character that they can adopt according to the type of design leads to the evaluation rather than to the research interaction with the participants in the process.
