Waterloo/Southbank is my favourite part of London. At Southbank you have the perfect concrete brutalism that is the National Theatre. The stroll along the Thames is pleasant here and you have the London Eye. However, something that is a little more hidden and 'underground' interesting is Leake Street. This is a street under Waterloo Station and is a series of vaults. This is an area for street art and creativity. You often see music videos being shot here and it is lined with incredible art. Below are some images I took this weekend on the way to grab a coffee at the Scooter Caffe (i'd recommend this too!).
What do you think of this place? Let me know in the comments.
The Waterloo Road (north) side entrance
Some great graffiti. One of which relating to the recently deceased US Rapper Nipsey Hu$$le
The Vaults - Theatre and music venue
The south side entrance/exit
The Scooter Caffe - cosy, tempting and old
