Marriage

According to one of my dearest professor of English dept., marriage is defined as the most important part of one's life & at the same time, the pattern of regeneration of society. Amm! Yes ma'am, although i'm an obedient disciple, truly obeying the sentence, 'Elders(specially teachers) are always right.' but here, sorry, my opinion differs from you.May be marriage is one of the important segment of life with great influence, favour domination & superiority in society but at the same time, believe or don't,has many drawbacks, weakness, harm & loss.
Earlier,it used to be the only major asset of the society but as the gradually changing society, youth opposes the concept sometimes openly or sometimes in hidden manner, ending up creating rift/clash in generations. The rise in urge of getting knowledge goals & success, love for independence or sometimes already getting the charm before resists from the concept.
Though, rapidly changing of society has many drawbacks i.e live-in relationships, hook-ups etc which I'll truly never ever support, but at the same moment marriage, the older version of 'legalizing the sex', is unbearable too for me.
It plays a very vital role of being a fetter for youth(specially for girls) from following their dreams. It acts as an obstacle for career-pursue,from society by setting age-barriers.It is disastrous if she turns to 26 being unmarried.
It snatches away liberty leaving back interference in your decisions, wishes & life ending up losing all right to freedom of individuality.
What kind of relation is marriage when it forces one to change its identity(sir-name), bearing people with a total different personality, concluding into repeatation of same complains again & again, resulting petty problems & irritating habit enhanced & magnified over time.
Though,I agree marriage conjugate two lives cultures traditions & provides one with support & company but at the same time induces unnecessary burden of responsibilities.
Lastly, I do not have any motive of abolishing the ritual(marriage) but at the same time, request society to be a little gentle & polite by not enforcing it but implementing the Rig Vedic concept of 'Brahmavadins'.
