Yes I think Steemit and others should have had that from the beginning to let more people start to engage and interact through their websites. It's a win for the user, the authors and the website which gets more traffic. Then you can provide a more gamified experience for people to obtain and claim a Steem account later, which is harder to get as a spammer, can be fun as a user, less costly for the provider, and also a way to let people learn some Steem before being given all the fancy stuff.
