RE: Trying WordPress, SteemPress and Vornix all for the first time!!!

in #steempress7 years ago

It indeed is interesting. I don't have any blogs except the one here on Steem, so most of these things are all new to me and besides it doesn't hurt to explore other things out. :) Also, apologies in advance if my blog is too plain simple. I just love simpilicity and solid colors like black.

That seems not to be a bad reward system though. Being paid on the 7th day and on the 30th day. Makes me wonder what issues they have with that kind of system. Right now with a lot of posts being published to the Steem blockchain daily personally I think 7days is just not enough. :)

Sort:

I think that system was good when we were just a handful of people. Now that we are so many and in the future that we probably gonna be way more we gonna have an issue with the steem-sbd distribution.

Also i think the problem isn't the 7 day period i think it's quite a good idea. My issue and i thought it quite some time is that people don't bother to check our older posts. If you post like me regularly and i think i saw you write that you make a post per day, in your page someone need to scroll down for your other posts. Moreover if he/she visit your profile the first time he/she will probably open the latest post like the others are ''garbage'' :P I think an app or something that would be for only those older post would have been beneficial but i have no clue of coding :P that's another reason the steempress idea is that interesting to me

I agree on everything you just said there. And yeah I have a One Day One Post policy. :) It really is unfortunate when someone visits your blog for the first time and the first thing they see are your personal rant posts or worse a lot of resteems. SteemitInc should do something about how posts are being displayed and fast. XD

My issue and i thought it quite some time is that people don't bother to check our older posts.

Lol so true. Right now the only way people would probably stumble on an older post is when searching for something on google.

a funny story that shows how mostly everyone checks only the first post is that a couple of months ago i went to meet up and there was a person there with a lot of sp. Out of generosity to all the attendees he went to their profiles and upvoted 100% their latest post. His vote was about 21-22$ i think at that time.

In my case i have resteemed a post of a friend and that was the latest post that anyone could check on my profile. guess what post earned the 20$+ :P

On the other hand thank god it was a post of a friend of mine and not some random competition :P but that example i believe shows perfectly what i explained at start

Lol that indeed is a funny one. I would have immediately felt bad about it if it was some random stranger who got the vote. I mean a $20+ is no joke lol

As what I've seen on your, you now rarely do resteems :)

hahaha in general i never do resteems. I think i have made only 2-3 :P I will only resteem posts of friends ( and other but mostly friends) that either have a serious problem or they did some great to help the community. Given the fact that mostly nobody reads the posts except if you have 10.000 followers or 100.000 sp resteems are a waste of time in my mind.

True! Truth be told I only do resteems when a contest I joined to requires it lol
