Today I would like to share about Gel Colouring Technique.
The gel also Filter, used to change the color of light with filtering (filtering) other light color. This tool is made from translucent material sheets with a special color. Types of Gel most commonly used is the CTO and CTB. CTO (Color Temperature Orange) in the form of orange-colored gel sheets used to make the beam becomes more warm. While CTB (Color Temperature Blue) in the form of gel sheet is blue, and is used to make the beam more cool.
The first method, by using the white part on the poster board and glue gel/filter tools you use on the Board. This will make the color will fill light in it and reflects the color of the gel into the shadows. Using a mirror to suit layout of foam core/poster board, you can create a more clear lighting on the side of the face. This will result in more intense facial appearance. This is the most common way to use while you play with gel/filter. You can put your light source, such as on the face or in your hair and then use gel/filter directly on the source of light (strobe). This will give greater lighting effects in the whole photo, not just one side only. Place the gel in the softbox and you can then positioning it above or below the camera. Please use the media as a filler light.
