Hello all friends, back to meeting with me Sabatini, in my post this time I will discuss the festive celebration of the 73rd Independence Day of Indonesia.
Commemorating the 73rd Indonesian Independence Day this time in my village there was something very interesting to celebrate this independence event, the event I meant was a race to decorate the canoe.
Because my village is a coastal area of the sea, the village head proposed to enliven this event by utilizing the sea coast which aims to attract tourists.
The rowing canoe competition attracts tourists. Even the ornaments that have not been finished have been used as objects of selfie by tourists. A number of young men seemed to be busy decorating the canoe. Some make geese, various types of fish and birds. Some even decorate the canoe with organic matter, leaves and straw.
One of the young men who used organic materials to decorate the canoe was ST Kembang Sari from Banjar Abang, Desa Candikuning, Kecamatan Baturiti, Tabanan. They use leaves to decorate the canoe which has been affixed using styrofoam to resemble a Kaper Fish. Starting from bamboo leaves and passion fruit. "We use passion fruit leaves for scales, and our tail uses bamboo leaves," said one member of ST Gede Darmawan.
He admitted using organic materials according to the requirements given by the committee. Besides that, he also hopes to get a champion. "We made it from 09:00 to finish at 2:00 p.m. Hopefully win, "he hoped.
Meanwhile the committee of the competition I Wayan Suputra said that the participants who participated in the festival this time increased to 16 banjars. If previously there were only seven banjars. And for this time the canoe was only contested to be decorated, not contested for rowing. "This is because not all cadets can row, and the place is also not free because there have been changes,".
Admittedly the rowing boat ornamental contestants started around 09.00 and ended around 14.00, continued the assessment. The winners will get coaching money that has been prepared by the committee.
Committee said, there are requirements that must be met by participants. Among them the theme of the race is animals that live on the lake, each group consists of 10 people, free knick knacks, wearing traditional clothing. "If we use the materials, we are free to provide good creativity," he said.
The 16 STs from 16 banjars participated in the rowing canoe competition, namely, ST Giri Mekar from Banjar Batusesa, ST Giri Kusuma from Banjar Bukit Catu, ST Bina Putra from Banjar Pemuteran, ST Ciung Wanara from Banjar Pacung, ST Eka Cita Tunjung Bang from Banjar Bangah, ST Magendra Park from Banjar Taman Tanda, ST Bima Sakti from Banjar Pekarangan, ST Cakra Murti from Banjar Antapan, ST Kembang Sari from Banjar Abang, ST Widya Dharma from Banjar Juuk Legi, ST Wira Guna from Banjar Bayan, ST Biduk Kencana Teens from Banjar Toh Jiwa, ST Seni Karya from Banjar Mayungan, ST Darma Putra from Banjar Batunya, ST Eka Semadi from Banjar Gunung Kangin, and ST Giri Merta from Banjar Kembang Merta.
What do you all think? do you like this? I hope you like it and hopefully friends once can attend and see this competition directly.
Okay, maybe until here my post this time, to meet in the next post.
Thanks.
