不要放棄自己行善的心

行是行為，善是善事，做善事即是行善。利於別人的行為與思想就是善。

【有一個禪師和弟子看到路邊有一條凍僵的蛇，禪師就想去救它，而他的弟子阻攔說：“師父，你難道忘記農夫與蛇的故事嗎？”

禪師說：“當然沒有忘。”

“那你為何還要去救它呢？”

“救它，我不一定跟農夫一樣去救它，我沒有必要把一條毒蛇放到自己的懷裡去救它。”

禪師找了一個火柴放在路旁，讓蛇在火的溫暖下慢慢活了過來。

禪師說：“施善的手段永遠不會單一，我們救人也要妙法，而且是多樣的，面對惡者，我們要做的不是因為害怕惡果而慢慢放棄自己行善的心，而是要智慧地選擇施善的手法，讓我們善良的心免遭惡報。”】

這則對話告訴我們，行善也要釆取方式方法。在生活中有時候善良、勇敢、信任、無私、往往不能被人所理解，但這些並不能改變我們行善的心。我們要存一個善心，以善心看待一切眾生。而不能因為蛇它有毒，或者生活中壞的事物，就不去救，不去做；救人危急，人在有急難、危險之時，不論他是好人、惡人，是恩人、冤家，不能見死不救，一定要救援。所以，我們要以真誠心，愛一切眾生，愛一切人與事物。

在佛教中，行善不一定要用金錢，一個人如果能勸人改過向善，啟發別人智慧或良知，時時心存慈悲、面帶笑容，去孝順父母，去善待一切眾生，這些都要比單純的捐款更具功德。

所以，無論怎樣我們都不要放棄自己行善的心。與人為善，多行善事，行善積德。更重要的是，除行善外還要修慧，因為惟有修習佛法，培養智慧，才能清靜心靈，免除煩惱，得到真正的快樂。
