Long time I haven't posted to this account since I was in Germany last month. I back to Japan the end of January and one week later, I left my apartment and moved to this beautiful snow village;Showa, to learn how to make super fine yarn for weaving.
久しく投稿していなかったこちらのアカウントから書いて見たいと思います。1月末にドイツから帰国後、1週間の準備を得て福島県昭和村へ再びやってきました。真冬の訪問は初めてのこと。機織りのための細かい苧麻の糸を作る研修に参加するためです。
Fortunately I met Showa people in Tokyo the other day and I traveled by train and a car drive to get here. The scenery was like this when I was in a car.
日曜日に東京から鬼怒川温泉駅まで電車で移動して、そこから幸運にも東京で合流することができた昭和村の方の運転で2時間くらいで昭和村へ到着しました。鬼怒川を出てから少し寂れた温泉街を横目に段々会津へと移動…道はこんな状態になってきました。
It's terrible cold at night time, the inside of the room get negative 3 when I woke up, of course some bowls in the kitchen are frozen every morning. But day time when there's the Sun, it is soooo beautiful and very bright and warm... I was a bit surprised about this. It is said the amount of the snow this year is only a half of every year, but still, I see lots of snows of which I haven't experienced before.
夜はさすがにちょっと命の危険を感じるような寒さなんですが、晴れる日はとても明るく美しく、そして外にいると温かです。家の中の方が寒いかも知れません。夜は家の中がマイナス3度になることもあって、もちろんキッチンのボウルの中の水はガチガチに凍ってます。毎晩、「不凍栓」という水道の元栓のようなものを閉めないと水道管が破裂すると言われていて、ちょっとドキドキしながら忘れないように閉めて寝ています。今年は例年の半分ほどの雪と皆さん言っておられますが、私にとっては、札幌の雪まつりや八幡平などの観光地を除くと、今までに初めての量の雪を見ているように思います。
Not so super sure but probably I'll stay here till the end of March or April... many people says there's lots of snow till the end of March and April, so I expect to experience many new things... and I wish I could share my life here with all of you guys. Actually... I can't say loud about this but I couldn't sleep well the first night because of the big sound of dropping snows from roof by rainning... it was scaring😂 Thank you very mush for reading.

まだはっきりはしませんが、恐らく3月〜4月頃まで滞在することになると思います。雪はまだまだ4月頃まで残るとのこと。雪と共に生活する、昭和村での新たな暮らしを様々な角度から体感したいと思っています。最初の夜に雪が落ちる音が怖くて眠れなかったのは…ちょっと内緒の話です😂
また少しずつ、書いてみたいと思います。

はい〜。いままでに聞いてた冬の様子を肌に感じることができて、まだ数日ですが体験できてありがたいと思ってます。いやいやいや、トタン屋根にあたる雨音と、固まった巨大な雪が地面に落ちる音は地震みたいなんですよ。
幸い、初日以降は積雪はあまりないので静かなんですが…。今度は寒さで目が覚めてます。
やっぱりスゴい雪ですね❄️
「ラーメン」が「ラーメ」になってるところに雪深さを感じました〜。
寒さや水道凍結の危機を乗り越えて頑張ってください。
寒さで目が覚めるとは、キャンプしていた誰かさんみたい…。
ぜひぜひ暖かくしてくださいね。

あいさん、こんにちは。そうなんです。昨日、台所の水道が凍って出なくなったんですけど、電熱線のコンセントを入れてなかったことが判明して、さっきあっという間に復旧しました。いやぁ、新しいことばっかりです。でも何とか来週から研修スタートできそうです＾＾*
Incredible how some places have so much snow... while others only see snow once in a lifetime, if that much. :-P

fusanさん、こんにちは！ へへ、ただの機織り好きで、何とか機織り中心の生活ができないかなぁと思ってNETや仮想通貨の収入の可能性を探ってるところです。私のためでもありますけど、他に大勢いる地域に住む若手の職人さんたちが充実した生活を送ることができるようになればいいなっていう思いもあってのことです。
へぇ、米沢なら磐梯山を越えた向こう側ですね！夏のよく晴れた日にはこの村からも磐梯山が見えるんですよ。冬も雪山が見えるのかなぁ。米沢や南陽市も機織りが盛んな地域ですが、まだ行けずにいるのでとても残念です。
