Agreed, a rating system would be valuable. We'd certainly love feedback on our application but the Steem Projects site looks like it's just a place for Steem Tools and front ends that essentially do the same as every other one.
There are sooooo many tools on STEEM.
Which is usually good for a blockchain, but Steem needs to start pushing out into the general public and most of what is being developed here keeps us in our own ecosystem.
We have a vision for rolling out Steem to the general public in a format that is already familiar to some communities but sadly lack the funding to drive it forward.
Having a feature like on solicitingpower.com where projects can flag the need for Steem Power Delegation would also be handy on Steem Projects. Maybe even having a flag or a beacon that can be seen from the front page to let investors know where to focus their attention and turn it into more than a tools repository.
If someone Google's 'steem projects' to try and decide if they want to invest in Steem they'll likely click on steemprojects.com and then get lost in the masses of tools. Real investors (outside of crypto) don't care so much for the tools but more so the real world applications working on that blockchain to decide if has a future.
SteemProjects.com is a great domain, and should be a little more sexy and market the good projects , while also providing access to the depth of tools we have.
And as you say a review system would be the start of that process.
