Being a No.1 Dad can be hard work at times. It's a balancing act and one slip puts you deep into the No.2... if you know what I mean.
You can't drink from the No.1 chalice if you're a No.2!!
Now a No.1 glass requires a No.1 Whisky, and tonight I have poured myself a glass of The Macallan Triple Cask 12 Years Old Whisky. What a mouthful!!
The Whisky
The Macallan is steeped in history and has built its reputation as the benchmark, against which all single malt whiskies are measured, since it was legaly licensed in 1824.
This particular dram is no exception. No effort has been spared in the production of this exceptional whisky.
Tasting Notes:
- Color: Light straw
- Nose: Complex with hints of dried fruit and honey.
- Palate: Medium with a balance of fruit, ok and spice.
- Finish: lingering with sweet dried fruit, spice and oak.
This is a perfect slow-sipping drop with a smooth sweet nature, and a gentle warmth about it, that leaves beautiful flavours in your mouth to enjoy after every sip. Simply superb on a cold winters night.
Cheers!!!
Great post. The MacAllan's are really amazing whiskies!
Thanks @schererf. I've sampled a few of their whiskeys and they have all been magnificent.
I have written a post about the Jura Superstition here on steemit. You can give it a try if you also like the taste of light peat smoke. Great whisky and not that much expensive as an MacAllan:
