This is a really great bottle of wine for the money. The 2013 Nino Negri Inferno, from the Valtellina Region in Lombardy, Italy. This is a Northern Italian region, which grows mainly Nebbiolo (known locally as Chiavennasca)for it's red wines. These wines tend to be lighter in both body and tannin than Nebbiolo grown in Barolo and Barbaresco, and the fruit is brighter. These can be cellared for several years, and will develop more leather and earthy notes, and turn to a more brick orange color than red.
This is a solid bottle of red. You should be able to find this for around $23-27 USD. It is a good value for under $30, and definitely drinks like a higher priced wine.
