Regarding Steemit Valuation it is important that new users actually purchase Steem which will drive the price higher. Since most users, who make decent rewards from blogging, are looking to make a living or some extra spending money will be selling Steem/SBD on the open market to convert to other currencies and then to FIAT. This selling pressure actually depresses the price of Steem in a classic Economics 101 supply and demand sense.
