Are you one for Antiqued Coins?

Hi guys,

So as some of you may know I've started to dabble in my own silver pouring.
As I have been trying to accumulate all the tools of the trade so to speak, I came across this stuff

XL Gel Liver of Sulphur

So I had to give it a go and see what it could do to my silver. I hadn't really intended to use this stuff to blacken coins my original intent was to highlight my own poured silver designs! but I got curious and decided to give it at try out on one of my pretty rough looking American silver eagles(2016) here's my you tube video below of the process and the results I got!

I guess my Questions are what do you guys think about blackened coins?
Do you think this is a good thing or a bad thing to do to the coins/rounds?
How do you feel antiquing coins affect the value of the coins/rounds?

I would really like to know what the community thinks about these points!
Please drop your ideas in the comments below!

Bye for now!

That looks great! I can't wait to see a blackened steemit round, Raybrockman has one ordered from Pitbullion but it's taking ages to arrive

cheers Owen, I wont be blackening my steemit round as I only have one.
Pit Bullion does fantastic work antiquing and gilding coins so I'm sure he'll knock it out the park!

Wow! It looks great! That is the same stuff we like using. If you put a little heat on the round it will get black in seconds. I like it.

Thanks Mr V. I will try this tip next time I blacken a coin! Stackin' told me the cold for rainbow and hot for black. How long should you heat the coin for ? I don't want to damage it!
