My most interesting piece of junk silver: This no date U.S. quarter.

in #steemsilvergold7 years ago (edited)

Yes this silver quarter has no date. You might be thinking that it must have a great value but it is really only worth about half of what any other junk quarter is worth. So with no date how could I know it's is silver. I am sure all of you know that when you get silver in your change you know the moment you drop it on your desk. The sweet sound of silver.

Maybe I should call it 12 & 1/2 cent piece.

I can only guess as to why someone would do this. Best I can come up with is it was done at a time that a quarter still had value. When a quarter would buy a gallon of gas or a loaf of bread.

Boy, that thing is thin!

Interesting coin. "Maybe I should call it 12 & 1/2 cent piece." Or a piece of eight.

Interesting coin. I know that sweet coin sound you're talking about 😀

What happened to the other side?

That is a neat piece to have in any silver collection.

Yeah the sound of silver its almost like a gentle ping \o/

Yep, silver is music to your ears.

i guess we learn to both see and hear it :)
