I think you are correct @monjan. These days of crypto the ease of transaction, the liquidity of the currency, all of which makes this such an interesting time. As of today I do not (and I sure as heck hope not) see a circumstance that these precious metals become the most common used currency. Great stuff though, minting, precious metals I think are always at least a curiousity to virtually everyone in the world @buggedout. thanks!

There is a big difference between an Asset and a Currency. Cryptos are a very effective, quick, liquid form of Currency. But when it comes to storing wealth you want Assets. Despite the claims of Bitcoin, it is not a good store of wealth because it is too volatile. Gold and Silver still are great stores of wealth.
