I picked up these Washington 90% Silver Quarter Dollars, out of the junk box. The price was Spot Silver plus 10%. Yes mishandled, but still in great junk condition. If there is such a thing. The two at the bottom are Proofs. Yes, they are also mishandled Proofs. Proof is really not a condition, but how the coin was minted. Some Proof coins can be struck several times, to get a sharper Proof strike. Regular BU Coins are usually struck once, and made for circulation or spending. These 1964s were minted over a billion. Some were melted down, but many survived and can be found in original mint wrappers. Dealers generally will not pay any more for these very common BUs. But as a stacker why not pick the prettiest, if given a choice. Investing in silver is a good way to collect coins, too. • SteemSilverGold •
