Good class, Smaulgld. As a child, as late as the 1960s, these silver war nickels were still in circulation. Probably about one in a hundred nickels. It was not unusual to get Mercury dimes or Walking Liberty Halves in change. Standing Liberty Quarters would occasionally show up. One could get Silver Dollars at a Bank. Some younger cashiers were not familiar with Silver Dollars. I never found a Barber. Everyone was a coin collector. Mostly cent collectors. Many of the Standing Liberty Quarters were worn-down dateless. They were the good ole days.
