I just saw in my email that "BitCoin" is on Sale from $19.90 to $21.04 each ...

The email was from Kitco.

Ok, ok, this is a bit of "click-baiting", but, I did put BitCoin in " and added "please read the fine prints", didn't I?

GoldenStateMint is coming out with one as well ...

So, back to serious business ...

This is exciting news!

  • You can buy it as a gag gift
  • It could be a collector's item
  • It is a good conversation starter (I'll have one in my pocket probably)
  • It is 99.9% pure silver and at these prices, they are cheap (at less than $4 over spot $16.11)

From Kitco.com:

To acknowledge and salute this new reality, Kitco has created a pure 1 oz silver round dedicated to Bitcoin. It’s not “A bitcoin”. Rather, it’s a one troy ounce fine .999 silver round, minted with an attractive Bitcoin theme.

Pure fine silver is a hard asset with the permanence that cryptocurrency lacks. If you want to diversify and turn your Bitcoin into pure silver, this 1 oz pure silver Bitcoin round is a great choice.

All the best!

You should call them up and ask them to create a STEEM. It would be fun to buy a "Steem Dollar" with STEEM DOLLARS.

Someone has done that - I think it was the Australian group.
If there were firm commitments for at least a few thousand ounces, you can design one and have them minted.

Getting more interesting, isn't it? @freedomshift. but what i dont really understand is that "real" physical silver or crypto?. Sorry to ask.

Crypto BitCoin (BTC) is digital and virtual. The symbols or graphics are artist's rendition of the "coin" which has no physical form.

The coin, actually is a "round" not a coin, is an artist's rendition of what BitCoin (BTC) might have looked like - it's silver and it's art.

WHAT IS A COIN?
A coin is round… but it is not a round. It has two important attributes that distinguish it from a round:

  • A coin is minted by a sovereign government.
  • A coin is legal tender with a minimum face value.

Typically, government treasury issued mint coins are intended to circulate within the public as currency, so the coins are given a face value that can be used during financial transactions. The actual coin value, however, can differ from its minted face value.

I thought someone has really made "physical" coin look like that, not only virtual thing. LOL. thank you @freedomshift

I knew it was going to be a physical coin :)
