Gold to silver ratio visualized with real coins!

Dear stackers,

Below picture shows a pile of 65 ounces of silver. This silver pile is what you can roughly buy for one ounce of gold. ( bearing in mind that silver carries some VAT in the EU and gold not. )

Therefore if storage is an issue for you you better start with gold! The pile I made is made of 25 maple leafs and 2x20 philharmonics. The gold coin is the latest Somali Elephant.

Hi @goldrooster !

Welcome aboard! ssg loves all things silver&gold and discussions about the ratio are something everybody should be tuned into.

Fancy fucking elephant too! That’s a rare sight.

Cheers! from @thedamus

Thanks for welcoming me. I bring a lot of experience (as shown on youtube) and can show a large gold collection but have to find my way around here still. Upvoting, bots, curation all new to me but I am retired at age 55 so enough time to get familiar...

I prefer a whole lot of silver ounces over one ounce of gold.

I agree it's easier to store gold. I'm still stuck on the idea that silver is undervalued. (Not Investment Advice - sheesh, who knows what will happen?) Anyway, thanks for the great illustration.

Wow nice gold

Very nice coin. I have mostly silver but I get 10th's and quarters of gold when I can.

that gold elephant is a stunner! :)

Wow. That's a beauty gold coin. Silver is awesome, and my primary stack, but there's just something about gold, and that's a heck of a piece!

That's a great 1oz gold elephant, very desirable with collectors.

Every stacker first choice would be gold, but unfortunately I can only afford an Oz of silver at a time. I think us silver stackers like to track the ratio and try and flip silver for gold when the ratio favours silver! Yes it's been a while since the ratio favoured silver hahaha

I have kilo silver coins (lunar, kukaburah ) and philharminics in tubes just to do that. I and my wife wait until silver (ratio) goes up and than we transfer to gold. So a period with silver at 35 USD and gold unchanged is what we look for. But gold is my main stack.

Great illustration. Beautiful coins. Keep stacking.

It certainly seems a bit ridiculous. Silver is terribly undervalued v gold. Either gold is overpriced or silver is massively undervalued. I wrote about this yesterday: https://steemit.com/steemsilvergold/@unclehermit/silver-is-incredibly-rare

Reading your post now. Thx for watching.

nice visulization there! Awesome smooth edges on those Phil H's! wow 90 views on this post!

nice visual showing the gold to silver ratio. Good point about storage as well, there an obvious discrepancy in size and weight which would also effect transportation if needed.

Mayhap I will purchase some gold. Beautiful stuff really! Up voted. Thanks for sharing. Maybe you can up vote me too?

Great visualization! Although gold stores more value in a much smaller space, the present and future uses of silver make it a very important strategic metal to hold.

The silver to gold ratio is always a great thing to be aware of and build stacking strategies around👊🏼👍🏻👌🏻
