25 KRONER COMMEMORATIVE COIN 1970 - LIBERATION

in #steemsilvergold6 years ago (edited)

Recently, I bought my first Norwegian silver coin.

This is the coin in the best condition (of 3), with some milk spots and minor scratches.

The two former kings look very proud and noble:

Coin fact:

25 kroner commemorative coin 1970 - liberation. Coined on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the liberation on May 8, 1945. The coin weighs 29 grams and contains 25.375 grams of pure silver. Alloy: Silver 875/1000, copper 125/1000.

The coin cost 135 NOK (a premium of 27 NOK). This is not too bad.

When I logged into the merchant's pagewhile making this post, I can see that they had to close down the business because of the toll customs. They have filed a complaint as you can see here: link

I had trouble myself when importing coins. Often the toll customs tries to sabotage by requesting a lot of documentation when they are obviously legal tender coins.

I will definitively buy more Norwegian coins.

I only knew Hagar as Norwegian King.

A beautiful coin. I have the same problems of taxes when I try to buy a coin in US. Canadian Customs extorts me... That is why I always buy from Canadian dealers.

Thanks! Yes, they do everything to prevent the distribution of real money.

Hi @ janusface this photos are history by itself i mean this coins talks about the economy and ideas for that age in my opinion you got a beautiful piece of art. Regards

A nice addition looks incredible !

Prof it made by Silver and Copper! Looks stunning and yeah I feel antique as well! Hope you could collect more! Once I had VOC coin of Dutch! I think it might be precious now a days! Hope I could find that coin too!@janusface,

Cheers~

Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold

is this coin is believable ?????

I really wish the custom toll will not make these things worse to deal with. Government should allow these things quite openly and people will get a better chance to know their history and stories even in the form of dealing with these coins. We put our great leaders statues in the streets only because we want the next generation to know about their heroism and sacrifice for us. I love your efforts of keeping these precious coins in reach of common people as the people around you must be learning from them.
