precious metal is the same...but in jewelry you can wear and enjoy it...pass it on to family. Not just a bar or coin locked away in a safe. Also, with jewelry you can travel internationally, unquestioned, unlike cash.
Menē invented the idea of "Invetment Jewelry"....not 14k or 18k that is diluted with other metals. It is pure gold or platinum.
