Man of steel is now silver!
I went through my collection and dug out my Superman coins. All coins are struck by, and purchased from the Canadian Mint in .9999 silver and have a reverse of the Queen Elizabeth II, ranging in weight from 15.87 grams (half ounce) to 62.67 grams (2 ounce). I don't believe that any of these sets are complete, as there was the option to purchase a gold Superman coin, but, it was stuck in 22k gold, and I am not interested in impure metals.
The only coin that is an exception, is a .999 Commemorative Medallion round produced in 1982 by the American Medallion Corporation in the United States (no longer in business). My oldest Superman silver outside of the Heroes of Comics collection.
This set was released in 2013 and is no longer found on the Canadian Mint website. These 3 coins are all one ounce and minted in .9999 silver with a face value of 20 dollars. My OCD is also clearly visible again, as I've purchased 3 of each.
This is part of a set released in 2015 and one of these coins can still be found on the Canadian Mint website, as it was released in 2015, it is obvious that this coin was not popular or in demand. These 4 coins are 15.87 grams minted in .9999 silver with a face value of 10 dollars.
This is part of a set released in 2015 and is no longer found on the Canadian Mint website. These 6 coins are all one ounce and minted in .9999 silver with a face value of 20 dollars.
This is part of a set "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and was released in 2016 and is no longer found on the Canadian Mint website. This coins is 15.87 grams and minted in .9999 silver with a face value of 10 dollars.
31.87 grams - Still available for purchase from the Canadian Mint.
62.67 grams - Still available for purchase from the Canadian Mint.
These are much more common and recently released from the mint, although most of these coins have started to develop toning and a few showed up with milk spots from the minting process. Each are stuck in .9999 silver and weigh one ounce.
Last but not least, the Superman coin that broke the "20 for 20" series.
In 2011, the mint began selling a series of silver collectible coins, with a face value of $20, at a time when the price of silver was soaring. The cost to buy one was also just $20, tax free.
Superman, Bugs Bunny, the starship Enterprise and other catchy images on the coins attracted hundreds of thousands of coin collectors and investors, and fattened revenues at the Crown corporation. More than 4.2 million such coins have been struck to date.
But the price of silver has fallen dramatically in the five years since, and Canadians are returning the coins by the truckload, protected from the fall in silver prices by that fixed $20 face value which the mint must pay back on request. - source

nice read...probably on a day like today you're liking you are holding some silver :P
I try not to think about it in terms of paper money, and I rarely check the prices.
Its just something I've been doing so long now, it just happens by itself.
Thanks for reading.
Nice collection. I never realized the Superman collection was that extensive. Thx for sharing and stack on! Upvote and following
I am a sucker for Superman silver... and JFK too.
I try not to spend that much on coins, but, it is a weakness I have.
