So these coins I’ve gotten here in SouthAfrica, surprising thing is the I got the non silver coins in bulk, they where really cheap and they don’t have much value since they have a high mintage , but the one thing I like about them is the design, I only manage to get one silver British coin, but I do have a few there in England... some really nice ones, specially the one I got form mr @gdwcoins..
This coin below is a 1925 silver six pence... it has been cleaned unfortunately, this coin I bought by its self, infact I got it not even knowing it was silver... I just got it because it looked really neat.. this was when I didn’t know about old British coins than later only realise when I researched it, I got the coin in bulk with other coins for like 17 USD, yes I was ripped of but when you don’t know prices and about coins much and just see nice coins that what happens...
These coins are crowns, sixpence, shillings which are all nickel, your able to pick them up for cheap, and not many people collect them so I do, because I want to finish all the sets like I’m doing with the South African three pence. So one mans poison is another mans medicin, I’m obviously just excited to see what my collection looks like in another year or two..
I really like the king George reverse side of the coin, it has a nice classic look to it.
Thanks for your time and reading
Nice! I also love these types of old coins. I think the bronze ones develop a lot more character in their aging.
That’s really true with the bronze coins... they have that vintage look to it, thank you for the comment buddy
These coins are beautiful and well preserved. The collection is growing...
Yea the collection is growing, I’m trying to not just fill up my collection with junk coins and collect really nice coins... but the thing with me is I love coins too much so I just buy if I like the design of them hahaha
I like your coins my friend but to be honest i don't know much about designs or value of them. I get some good information from your posts. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for reading buddy, coins no a days if they don’t have silver in them then you don’t get much value for them.. the only value comes from coin collectors.. which will pay top price for a good coin..it’s a very confusing industry at times, because I’ve seen some guys buy really expensive coins for cheap than smelt them for their silver ...

I really like these older coins, they are classic and historical ... they'll be in museums in hundreds of years from now :):):)
Hahaha hope fully I’ll be the one to own the museum hahaha
Keep collecting and you'll have a fantastic collection to look back on in a few years time. I collect the non-silver stuff too. You can get some good deals on random ebay auctions every now and again.
I mostly like the designs of the non silver coins, and your guys coins won my heart with that, but thank you buddy... I definitely will.
Easy one for British silver coins;
Pre 1947
1920-46 50% silver
1919-earlier 92.5% silver
Coincides roughly with world wars
Yea I understand the American coins which years have silver, but didn’t know with the English years, thank you for the info 😊
I believe for usa
dimes quarters half dollars 90% up to 1964
1965-1970 half dollars 40% silver
