Today's coin is this very nice looking Medio-Balboa from Panama . As with the previous two coins this one too was minted at the Philadelphia mint using U.S. half-dollar coin planchets . I have just learned also that the United States Mint has minted coins for Panama on a pretty regular basis from 1904 to 1983 ! The U.S. mints at Denver , San Francisco , West Point also minted coins for the South American country . The Franklin Mint and The Royal Canadian Mint also minted coins for Panama . This coin is minted of 90 %silver , weighs 12.5 grams , and is 30.6 mm in diameter .
The obverse again features the bust of a helmeted and armoured Vasco Núñez de Balboa facing left , with a wreath around him and the words MEDIO BALBOA written above his head .
The reverse of today's coin shows us the eagle topped , flag draped Panamanian Coat of Arms with the purity on the left and weight on the right . Above are 9 stars and the words REPUBLICA DE PANAMA . The year and a wreath below .
The edge of this coin is also reeded .

Really a nice looking coin. I can't wait to see the 1 oz.... that is next, right! I BTW, may I ask: are most of your coins cleaned? Or is it my computer?Perhaps the lighting? But from my end, they appear totally without a trace of the silver luster. I love that medio coin, it has great details! Thanks for sharing.
No most of my coins are not cleaned ,a few are washed by me with mild detergent and warm water to remove dirt ! When you collect on a budget you get the best you can !! And the next is 1 Balboa which is .77 of an oz of silver , thanks for your constant input and support @silversaver888 .
Always enjoy the seal on the reverse of these coins! Think that its the eagle on top with the flag draping down that makes it awesome! Thanks for sharing it brother!!
Its one of my faves too dww !!!!!!
Wanted to see Mike if it was difficult to send a round and some coins over to Nothern Ireland? Didn't know if you had experience in this area. Just let me know. Thanks a ton!
Securely taped inside a normal sized greeting card and a completely taped envelope declare them as collector tokens !!!! Max value 30 $ and its a gift !!!!!! If the round is in a capsule take it out and use a plastic flip !!!!
I have them as you described above the only different is I used a small padded mailer and have the objects wedged between two pieces of cardboard. Jay told me that silverseeker tried to do it as you described and they returned it to him.
Just make sure its collector tokens or something like that and keep the value low ( they have to pay a value added tax of 20%) and call it a gift !!!
You got it. Appreciate the awesome advice!!
By the way thanks so much as I knew you had sent things to many places.
Just following and learning.
Thanks Ronaldo !!!!
