A letter to the community and some cool stuff

in #steemsilvergold6 years ago (edited)

As I am transferring all my SP to this account from my gdwcoins account i have undelegated all SP and this has released a large burden of producing mediocre and to be quite honest crap posts churned out to receive a daily upvote.

This has lead me to the conclusion of only wanting to produce quality content on a weekly basis with a possibility of twice a week when the need requires, this will allow me to write quality posts with some substance and incorporate a love of everything steem, silver and crypto games in a post worthy of upvotes and well worth reading.

This leads me on to some other points, I will be still delegating to @ssg-community & @steemcryptosicko but on a smaller level so I can dish out a decent upvote to posts I deem worthy of an upvote, I will cease to use auto voters as I feel these are part of a trend where people will not read a post as they have already upvoted it , this will not affect the next sweepstakes post but it will have a standard format with a weekly mini update similar to last season.

Penning a reply, with me going to a weekly post I am hoping this will allow me more time to read and reply to more of other people's post, I see some really quality posts and to be honest I am a little lazy when replying but I am hoping for this to change and hopefully this will give more a community feel rather than a quest for crypto by leveraging numbers.

Anyway I have set out what I want to achieve, I want to show off a few items that i have bought it the past week, these items are varied and quite odd ball to say the least.

Money

I will start off with everyone's favourite things money, it is the form of coins and they are numerous but there is only 2 silver pieces but a good selection of cheap coins that people do like for collections especially in date runs. The mix is mainly European with a few for other countries.

Stop watch

The next thing on my list is an awesome stop watch, it is Swiss made and from a company called Airain and what I found on a quick search on the net it turns out to be from the 1970s and made for the Swiss army and the watch is in really nice condition with the original wooden box.

The obscure teeth dies

This next item is really cool and it is so obscure I have never seen one before but it is really obvious what it is. Well if your not sure, it is to make realistic caps on Gold teeth and this product was from around the 1880s and I believe it is from the USA and it is really well made and was probably used with a small hammer striking the die into the cast teeth.

Some really cool lamps

This is probably my favourite item I have bought all thought both need some repair as the fittings are bust but I have ordered some new fittings in brass which will give these two lamps a really nice finish, they appear to be from the late 60's and the cobra will look cool with a vintage style bulb.

Glasses but broken

Not every item can be a winner and I am a little gutted about these fold up glasses as I didn't see that the bridge was broken but they maybe useful in a future project.

Final thought

Well I hope this post deserves your upvote and possibly a nice comment, another thing I didn't mention was my idea for the SP I want to keep in the future for manually voting awesome posts and this will be 1000sp but this will only come into effect in 13 weeks from today.

I like the sound of your plan...

I honestly feel it is the only way i will write meaningful content

With all the Buying or Delegating for Up-Votes, it leaves very little for anyone else...

What's the purpose of switching accounts?

Sounds good @monsterjamgold, I'm more likely to read through you big posts as I was used to just checking out the pictures in you quickies.

We n3ed mor3 replies aswell as upvotes,

I'd likely agree with you since you already know I'd rather put more time and attention on fewer posts than to churn out just the basic product. I understand that the whole Steemit model is geared to posting daily especially with the way auto-voting bots work. There are no Part time bots. I have very little leisure time and I simply cannot post on a daily basis therefore I would waste auto-votes and my potential upvote is simply put back in the pool to benefit the service or other members as a dividend. My Part time basis puts me at a disadvantage but I'm okay not claiming my entitled share. I just want to do what I like to do, the $$$ is just the icing.

Those teeth are just like the ones at my dentist.

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣

One thing is certain, since we in #SSG have moved to a more auto vote, I for one have really seen the interaction drop off.

I like the direction you are heading. I almost always prefer engagement to automation and i also prefer quality over quantity. I hope you make many new friends this way.
