As promised yesterday I'll show off a few of my favorite peices of poured silver I currently own. The poor things don't know what's coming but there some real gems coming from the mafia boys and a few are on the cusp of demotion from the display case!
Yesterday I focused on my awesome water pour if you want to check it out!
Today I'm going to show off these Ericson Mint pieces and my ripple heart from backyard bullion.
Ericson Mint is know for there Viking penguin logo, and he's poured quite a few penguin related peices along the way. Most sell out since he keeps the mintages low, but maybe one day I'll get the full penguin family.
His poured are made by YPS and I believe he has also worked with monarch for some other designs as well, he's also experimented with his own pours and gilding and most recently released his Viking proverb rounds.
I really love the cowboy boot too! That's my regular attire when I'm out and about, I mean you need every inch right! His story behind that pour is worth reading on our blog above too.
This next one is a pretty awesome ripple heart by @backyardbullion, I know he's been around these days so be sure to check him out. He numbers all his pours which is pretty cool and most recently all his pieces are hallmark.
So this is an earlier piece I'm proud to own. He's always had a great commitiment to quality and this is really a great looking piece. My plan was to give it to my wife at one point, but it's usually comes off as an "anti-present" and big disappoint so it's still in my possession.
That heart is a great Valentine.
How is the heart an anti-present? I think it’s simply gorgeous. Maybe I’m biased since of a kind and unique artistic things like that are my very favorite!
Nah, not the fact it's a heart, but the fact it's silver.
@phelimint Very Nice and Yes poured Silver is running through STAX Veins...
Yeah, she's all silver...lol.
Nice collections... please still give it to your wife... i think she'll appreciate it if she knows how much you cherish it!
I love the cowboy boot too! Its sooo me!
I saw yesterday's own, think this one is better and special :#
Very nice pieces of silver my friend! Simply yet refined! Good taste as always!
Thanks man, a few of my favorites for sure.
The more silver articles I read the more I wanna make some mints, hehe. Is there an article you could link to in the community that would be good for someone who wants to get into it? I spend way too much time in the digital world and want to create some physical stuff :)
You want to start pouring or designing coins, because we're currently looking for designs for the #steemsilverround, check out that tag.
I think I may just do that. See my designs in silver, that could be kinda cool, hehe.
Silver gets the boot 😀 Nice pieces.
(you hear an engine rev and horn honk)
MEEP! MEEP!
(the window on the humvee rolls down to reveal a warm smiling face)
(the window rolls up and the engine roars as it drives to the next person on the list)
Comment by @killerwhale. This is a opt-in bot. "Hello! I'm @shadow3scalpel and with the help of my protege, @chairborne, we are actively assisting veterans, retirees and active servicemen and women here on Steemit. We feel it is our 'duty' to support each other. Any questions or comments you may have, simply respond to this comment, thank you!"
The YPS poured silver items you even see in Europe. But for the rest it is all coins, bars and some rounds. Cheapest are silver Noah Arch coins made and sold in Germany.
Yeah, I guess thigs would be quite different over there, you guys have Mr @backyardbullion anyways.
One of these days in the future when silver will only be visible in high security museums , people will look at us like we were crazy playing with something that has soo much value. Then again they may just marvel @ our times and how lucky we were that we could create pieces like this.
That's interesting to think eh, certainly a possibility.
so you do have a heart of silver.
:D
Very cool pieces.
I think the viking penguin is my favourite.
Yeah, it's pretty fun eh. He has a few others too, but this was the only one still around.
Very nice I just got a few poured pieces and I really like them.
awesome, it's addicting for sure.
Has anyone tried pouring silver into a mould made of ice?
Just wondering what sort of texture you'd get.
I'm sure they have, I've seen guys in YouTube pour into ground beef and all kinds of whacky stuff. When I see them pour into ice water or a cold mold, it's kinda explosive and violent, so I suspect it would just be some sort of big mess, but hopefully one of the real pouters will weigh in?
@pit-bullion, @mr-v @stackinag47.
