Normal Rockwell, Four Freedoms, Silver Art Bars

in #steemsilvergold7 years ago

Hey steemians, (Still not sure about this, maybe I'll just say, Hey Friends).

Someone here shared some cool Freedoms Silver rounds that other day and I said I would get out my Four Freedoms Art Bars and showcase them here.

I didn't go as far as to open up the nice frame but they are from the 70's and I think from Hamilton Mint or Madison Mint- ( Or maybe something else totally). They are based on the Normal Rockwell painting series. I bought them from a facebook group a couple years ago. I didn't pay all that much of a premium at the time and I can't say I've seen anymore pass by, but I'm not sure they hold any kind of great value or anything.

I think they did a really good job of replicating the original art and the antique finish really brings out the details.

Here are a few better pictures of each bar separately.

Anyways hope you guys like then, I'll have to try to go through storage soon and snap some more photos of some other great pieces to share. There's a really great community around here.

Thanks for showing us your art ! @phelimint

Where is it?

Cool silver pieces! Thanks for sharing them -- i'm sure they are very rare.

Seems pretty unique to me... You are sure they are silver?

They are stamped 0.999 fine silver on the edges and also individually numbered as well. I haven't tested them, but they were from a reputable mint from the 70's

sounds like a definite collectors item to me, nice !

These are very nice. It is important to have MEANINGFUL silver, as well as bullion. I found my silver rounds that had Bill of Rights theme at the local coin shop and they cost the same (premium) as the regular silver rounds.
