My Trip to Prague, in the Czech Republic...

in #steemsilvergold7 years ago (edited)

I was walking down the Streets of Old Town, Prague 1, in the Czech Republic, window shopping...

To my surprise, I saw a Five Dollar Indian Head Type, Incuse U.S. Gold Coin in the Window...

It was dated 1913...

I went inside and asked about the Price...

It was $182.00...

I pulled Federal Reserve Notes out of my Wallet and we made an Exchange...

It was in Beautiful condition, like it just sat around for about a Hundred Years without being touched...

Mine is in better condition than this one, which is listed as a PCGS MS-66 worth $60,000...

If mine is better, then I may have the Best in the World...

Dude that’s crazy!!!!
$60K for one that’s in worse condition then yours? Definitely not a typo? Amazing my friend I’m very excited for u 👍

This all happened about 10 years ago... It's a true story... I've been into U.S. Coinage since I was about 12 years old... I have a collection that would blow you away...

yeah PC! That's the shit!

Super cool coin...

I mention the New U.S. Trade Dollars all the time in my Posts...
I really do have Trade Dollars... This is what they look like...
Naturally the New U.S. Trade Dollars will be made of Paper...
There will be no Silver or Gold Threads woven into them, but
their Buying Power should be equal to the Old Silver Trade Dollars...

I even have at least One Trade Dollar with Chop Marks...

You certainly post some interesting things! I can't get my head around everything, but I am working on my comprehension skills, so there is hope! 😜

You are appreciated, and I can't wait to see some of that collection! Thank you!

I rarely show off what I have, but I really do have some of the best...
Would you believe I once paid $50 for a 1926-S Penny...???

NICE! In our community, it isn't showing off. It is a show of wisdom and prudence, in my opinion. And we all reward it! It would also be a service to a new stacker like me, that doesn't know a whole lot of the details and historical context many here do.

I'm always available to give my best Answer to any and all Questions one might ask...

Sure he's crazy, but what if he's right?

Hopefully, you know I was only joking around. I also hope you know we're all a little crazy around here, ha! I've learned that all things are possible and I rule nothing out. I truly do appreciate the sharing of thoughts and opinions and yes, he might be right afterall!

That's where knowledge is so valuable. knowing what you have or others have but don't know it's true value. It doesn't happen every day, as you gotta be in the right place at the right time. But they are out there. Are fakes to and a bet some ppl been burnt as well due to lack of knowledge.

One does have to be careful with the Rare and Expensive Coins... There's even Silver Rounds you need to be careful of... You're very correct when you say "Knowledge is so Valuable"... It really is...

Where are the pictures of Praque?

It was about 10 years ago, back when I had to use a Camera... lol... No Smart Phone back then... If I stumble upon some of them, I'll edit this Reply with something nice... Thanks for commenting...

Pretty coin!

My eyes zero'ed in on it when I spotted it in the Window...
