Banco de México wanted to give the 1 kg Libertad coin an elegant and solemn appearance which reflected its value. For this purpose, it has a natural mahogany box with a fine finish the lid which shows the logo of the coin drawn etched with a laser. Inside the box the coin is well protected due to a tray which slides back when the box is opened and shows the coin off better. Below the tray is a space for keeping the minting certificate. Each certificate contains printed information that is only visable using black light
The obverse of the coin displays the Winged Victoria, the symbol of Mexican independence, sometimes also called the Angel of Independence. Representing Mexico City, her statue is located in the Paseo del la Reforma in the Mexican capital
The reverse of the coin displays the Mexican coat of arms in the center, a Mexican golden eagle perched upon a cactus with a snake in its beak.

Thanks I think the Libertad is a great coin. I have ordered a UV black bulb to see the code. When It arrives I will post a picture. Will also post some pictures of proof Libertads.
