A week is a long time for posh semi numismatic coins in the pocket. I do have to admit that i was not entirely happy with this coin when it arrived, if you look at the rim above Rwanda there is a lip on the edge of the coin like the blank was slightly off center when the coin was struck so rather than send the coin back the Pocket Silver Challenge gauntlet was thrown out there into the mix and i have loved seeing everyone joining in, there is a lot of fun to be had having adventures with your silver coin, only today i was fitting a timing belt with the Rwanda Santa Maria which i will no doubt be waffling on about at some point in the very near future.
It has been a tesing week for the silver coin to see how it stands up against the ravages of life and how it would fare had it been a circulating coin, and considering the tough time i have subjected it to its doing very well, ok apart from where i dropped it while propping it up against a gearbox in a stupid attempt to make it look like it was lifting a gearbox out, a customer was watching me while i did that and had a confused look on their face and then i bashed my face while picking the coin up and scratching my glasses, i must have looked a right pillock. If you look at the top picture you will also notice there is a good scratch on the left side of the coin, its battle scars are going to look bad ass as the weeks progress.
So the all important part of this challenge was the financial aspect, i am aiming to recoup the cost of this coin through steemit votes. The coin cost me £25.99 including delivery, luckily here in England we get the pleasure of tax added to the value of 20% which makes everything just that bit more pleasurable to purchase. If i convert the UK price into dollar you are looking about $35 which is the amount i will be using.
My first post The Pocket Silver Challenge gave an author reward of $1.11 and the second post Day 1 gave $0.36 giving me a total in week 1 of $1.47, take that off the purchase price of the coin gives me a revised cost of $33.53 (i could include and deduct the scrap price of silver at a conservative price of $16.00) but in the interest of this experiment im attempting to make back the full retail price of this coin, the scrap value at the end will be the jucy profit.
3 days ago i posted first blood which was the coin fitting a clutch, a masterpiece of photography and literature im sure you will agree, lol but it currently stands at $3.26, im sure my author reward will be knocking another substancial amount off the coin cost and there is more to come, like ive already mentioned there was fun fitting a cambelt and im taking the coin out on a curry night tomorrow and depending how busy the pubs and curry house are and depending how drunk i get i am hoping to take some photos of our intoxicated adventure.

Very good russ. Keep making awesome posts like the first blood one and I'm sure you'll make the money on it!
I enjoyed making first blood, sometimes you try and write something and its just not working but when im sat there giggling to myself this steemit experience is all the more enjoyable and its helping excercise my brain rather than sitting infront of tv.
nice job youre making the money back steadily already it wont take too long. My coin only cost me £16 delivered so im gona win lol. only joking, i didnt really follow the rules perfectly, i wanted to buy a new coin just not much money after buying the steemit coins, cheers bud
Yea its only a bit of fun, no real rules just an excuse for everyone to make regular nonsence posts but im aiming to make this coin my most profitable, oh and win lol
That coin had a rough week! Your doing pretty good so far on your recoup.
It has had a busy week but im surprised how well its done, not used any bots for votes in the pocket silver posts so could turn into a successful little enterprise.
Love those Rwandas. Rare Silver,
