Good morning my friends.....
Today’s installment was inspired by a good friend @silversaver888. She has been showing off her Peace dollar collection, and I thought that I’d join in.
First a little background......
I started a Peace Dollar collection a while back, but haven’t added any pieces in over six months or more now. My goal is to assemble a complete set of NGC MS63 Peace Dollars. I’m currently a little more then half way there.
So what I have for you today is my 1926 Philadelphia strike NGC MS63 graded Peace Dollar. This coin was purchased at a coin show in Maryland a few years back. It jumped out at me right away.
The coin has great detail and luster for an MS63 and there was no way I was leaving without it.
A little info on the 1926 Philadelphia strike Peace Dollar. There were just under two million struck, which isn’t a high number in comparison to many years. So it is not considered a common date, but still doesn’t qualify as a semi key date either.

Nice piece 510!
😀 Thanks brother 👍

You know I love, love the Peace Dollar. We both need to complete our set, so we can move to other collections. In addition to its beautiful design, I chose the Peace Dollar set because the entire collection is not as extensive as the Morgan Dollars. My 1926 is a grade lower than yours. It is a MS62, which I may be showing later. Have a great day, @silverd510! CONGRATULATIONS on reaching a milestone 60 reputation, my friend!!! Thanks for the mention in this article. I appreciate you.
My won’t be complete anytime soon. I’m missing the 1928 coins. Not spending that right now. Looking for weight.... Anytime my friend🌹
And my 1925 Peace Dollar I posted last Sunday on #piratesunday is one of my better Peace Dollars I have. It doesn't have much to do with Pirate Sunday but just a little irony device in the little WW2 fictional story of the Baron. It stuck as the winning name for a new Mutiny Metals bar. Hope you find your 1928 some day.
They are very nice coins. Hopefully some day. Thanks for stopping by my friend. Much appreciated👍
Beautiful coin if you are into slabs SD !!!!
Beautiful coin. I like Peace Dollars over Morgan Dollars.
