Here is a fun contest!!
Instead of doing a normal write up on the new Irrawaddy Counting House ingot I recieved today. I figured I would try and make the reader figure out the differences instead of me laying them out. These Irrawaddy ingots are on my radar big time right now! They seem to be highly under valued and have a strong link to the John J Ford Jr. era.
As I am finding out through collecting. There are several different varieties of Irrawaddy silver ingots! What better way to learn then to figure it out yourself right?!
Be the first person to comment the 6 differences between the three ingots and WIN 3 STEEM!!! All three are the same exact demensions. The pour texture/markings do not count.
Hope this was a fun post! I am always trying to switch things up and bring valuable content. If you enjoyed this article please RESTEEM UPVOTE and FOLLOW!

I see 5. Gotta have six.
Just in case I am also adding an example of a difference I found in the design of fulcrum!
@hashcash Your last 2 differences really has me take a look at these. I don't believe the font is different on the third bar. Or the circles on the end of that are different. I believe they appear to be becuase of the strength of the stamp and the color of the ingot. Appreciate your participation on this one!!
No problem man. As always, your posts and contests are a fun place to be at :-)
I am not all that experienced with ingots so I could only point out what seemed different to my eye. Next time then :-)
Taels is only on 2 bars, while the other has burmah rupees, the 999 is only on 2 bars and the other has 900, the stars are anchors on the other, the symbol fine is only on 1, on 2 bars it shows the number 5 while on the other shows the number 10 and i guess the dot next to the 900 is only on that one?
@teautonium You nailed all same 6 differences I had figured. Your the winner of this contest. I will send your steem over today! Thanks for participating !
I just hope you get my name right when sending the STEEM xD

Ha ha! Nice try, but this is not the 'Find the ingot' series contest
I should run for president since people are starting to say they agree with me at everything :P
LOL!!
There several differences
@grapemaster I appreciate your effort here and can't argue that your wrong. A few I didn't take into consideration. I will also award you STEEM for your efforts. Thanks for participating.
Sent 3 steem to you @grapemaster!!
Contest has been completed! Thank you for the participation. If anyone sees something somebody else did not mention feel free to comment.
That's a great contest! I see you had all the differences spotted, but I'm glad to see such good participation!
Thanks @themanwithnoname your origional contest got mtle thinking and figured it was the right time to give it a shot. Just a one time thing. As I don't have that many duplicates to compare ! Lol . Appreciate your support..
Ha ha, yeah there aren't too many bars that are similar but not the same. Or if there are, you have to get them first. It seems like the game was a success!
Oh man, sorry I missed this one. Those ingots are probably my favorite of the ones you have shown. Is there an online marketplace specifically for vintage ingots? I can't believe a market like this would only be on ebay. Anyhow, nice contest @silveringots.
Congats @teutonium!
@summertooth there really isn't any dedicated market places for vintage ingots. Aside from eBay. Most sell privatly and through coin shops/dealers. It's all about building a network. UNDERGROUND.
Hahahaha! I read this with such a serious look on my face.....until I read the word underground
ALL IN CAPS!!!
:)
:o
What another type of contest?!?! This one will be a interesting too. Almost kind of like those I Spy books they used to have.
@knowledge-seeker it was just a one time game that worked out when I had those bars next to eachother yesterday. It went well though!! Cool concept
I love these little tit-bits of info, it's these little differences that make collecting so interesting. Are some variations more expensive than the others?
Good question @welshstacker. It depends on the refiner. Most of the time there are varieties that carry a lower mintage or unique aspect that make them more expensive. When it comes to those 3 bar's pricing is the same. They do have a horizontal landscape variety that I do not own YET. That one is more expensive.
"YET"... I like your optimism. Good luck my friend, I'm sure you'll let us all know when you come across it.
So what other cool bits of info do you have for us?
nice
