There are many types of silver available in the market, and a gazillion products and designs produced by hundreds and hundreds of mints, foundries, silversmiths and hobby silver pourers world wide.
In a previous article on the same subject of SILVER STACKING for BEGINNERS Part 1, I suggested two types of silver bullion to build a silver stack foundation on, the first one being US Constitutional silver or any world silver coinage from the U.K., Canada, Mexico, etc.
The second recommendation is:
Sovereign Minted or Government-issued Bullion Coins
which are well-recognized and widely accepted. Government bullion are legal tender coins that have been minted by a country’s national mint and its purity and value is backed and guaranteed by that nation’s government. Some of the most popular government-issued silver coins from around the world include:
There are several reasons why choosing to build one's stack on sovereign bullion coins can be advantageous. For one, there is value in the security of buying bullion that has been ensured and backed by a nation’s government. Investing in silver and gold that has received a “stamp of approval” by a government entity provides a sense of protection that justifies the extra cost to some. Secondly, it is said that legal tender coins are easier to sell down the road. In the actual event of an economic collapse, many argue that the average person will recognize sovereign coins over private rounds and bars from private mints. Seeing as their purity, weight and quality are backed by a country’s government, sovereign bullion buyers tend to feel more at ease and confident that the value of the coin they are buying can weather any future storm. Despite the fact that sovereign bullion coins typically have higher premiums over generic silver, some prefer this option when planning for the worst-case scenario. For instance, even if the price of precious metals were to suddenly plummet, one would likely still be able to sell their government-minted coins to those who collect coins and thus earn a collector’s premium. So, if all else fails, collectors or investors may still be able to earn a premium on certain well-liked coins on top of the price over spot.
I am an American and reside in the United States.
Not only are American Silver Eagles readily available to me at a reasonable premium over spot, American Silver Eagles are highly recognized world wide and therefore very easy to liquidate at a moments notice and I am still guaranteed to get at least spot price for them.
American Silver Eagles is a natural choice of bullion coin for me as the foundation of my precious metals stack

And as a Canadian Pirate lass pillaging thy West coast of Canada, me core stacking pile consist of Maple Leafs and sailing along side would be me Canadian silver coin as me fractional silver because I'd be hornswoggled if one cannot make thee appropriate change.
September 19th, 2018 Will be International "Talk like a Pirate Day" Arrrh!
Fool! Blimey. I better learn to say something like a Pirate by then!Otherwise I might be punished by thee cap'n and he make me walk thee plank and die and join thee wreck in Davey Jone's locker.
Rest easy yea heart that I did not post the "Swear like a Pirate Day" Blog but it can be next after me Public Announcement: International Talk like a Pirate Day
dang its like you are reading my mind when it comes to this and yes this type of silver (and gold) will be the cornerstone of my stack
Perfect, @corndogg42! And on the next part of the series, I will discuss why it makes sense to choose these two silver bullion as foundation of any stack! Have a great weekend, my friend. Take care.
Awsome advice and I love this way you explain things. I have learned much from you and this is a Great help for new people like me 😉👍
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Cheers! 💕🤗
I am so glad that you find this article helpful to you! I promised you and @soyrosa that I would answer all her questions via an article. As it turns out, I will have to do it in four parts, I think. I do hope that it will help you make your own decisions regarding your stacking goals and develop a strategy to accomplish those goals. Your comment is so much appreciated, and I value your feedback very much. Take care, sweet @saffisara!
Very cool! I was just at my friends house, and he showed me a stack of silver coins, .999. That he was able to buy at an introductory price, it was really cool to see. They all had the same design. The weight of the 15 or so coins was incredible. He also showed me a huge bar as well.
Yes, there are several dealers that are offering special prices... all at spot. If you are interested, I actually have a list of them here: https://steemit.com/steemsilvergold/@silversaver888/for-the-new-silver-stacker-who-wants-to-buy-the-dip
Precious metals are incredible to behold. I think it is because one can immediately perceive the intrinsic value of silver and gold... from the beginning of their discovery! Have a great weekend, @mrchef111!Take care.
This sounds like sound advice, I’m sure the added security a minted government coin can give is a good way to give a wider collection of different silver and bars more stability.
I’m still resisting stacking, even with @saffisara wafting her collection of silver under my nose all the time !

I don’t know why you are brother. It’s a hedge against inflation and a storage of wealth. Get on board....
Understandable, @c0ff33a. Perhaps you can look t it this way.... every month, take $20.00 fiat currency (paper money with an intrinsic value of 11 cents), and buy one silver coin like the American Silver Eagle (which is real money and with real intrinsic value). By the end of 12 months, you will have 12 American Silver Eagles, and would have actually preserved real value and real wealth that is truly yours. There is a saying... if you don't hold it, you don't own it. In time, perhaps you will start stacking, and hope that this series of articles will be helpful to you! Have a wonderful weekend, my friend. Take care.
Your recomendations have just received the "RonaldoAvelino Seal Of Endorsement" and now are Law in Stackland.

Awesome! I have one of those! :D In the Netherlands we have 'Gouden tientjes' en 'Zilveren tientjes'
https://www.goudnl.nl/zilveren-tientje
https://www.thesilvermountain.nl/nl/gouden-tientje
'Tientje' is the 'Tien' (10) referring to the amount of Gulden (the currency we had before the euro) it is in silver. I often heard people getting excited about these when I was younger having no idea what it meant :')
Thanks for the information... I don't really know about silver bullion market though. What do you think about ABX?
