Excellent points. You are right that they take up a lot of stacking space and may seem hardly worth the work.
However, I'm going to play Devil's Advocate and list a few good reasons to stack a goodly amount of Kennedy 64's
#1. They're great for introduction to stacking. At $17.00 oz, a Kennedy '65 goes for about $2. A Kennedy '64 goes for about $6.00.
#2. They make good gifts. At about $2.00 each, you can give them out like candy and it makes you look like a Rockefeller because you're giving out silver.
#3. They can only go so low!! Silver goes up and silver goes down, but Kennedy '65s will never go below $.50.
#4. Quality storage is not necessary. Kennedy '65s may be the "junk" of "junk silver", so why not treat it like junk??? Instead of keeping it in a safe or burying it in the woods, just store it in a Home Depot 5 gallon bucket. I'd like to meet the thief who's willing to make off with a 100lb bucket!
#5 Divisibility. If silver ever goes to the moon, Kennedy '65s will be on everybody's MUST-HAVE list.
Let's face it, I love all silver!!!
