My Gold Collection #2: Gold Bhutan Stamp, King Edward VII Gold Sovereign (1903) and Gold Coin/Necklace Thingie

in #steemsilvergold7 years ago (edited)

Continuing my series of me showing of my gold stuff today I want to present you some other neat golden stuff I own :)

Here's the first part of the series in cases you missed it! By the way, I want to apologize for my lack of engagement in the comments the past few days, I have been pretty busy but it's something I plan to fix starting from tomorrow!

So, today I have three items for you:

1. Gold Plated 22 Karat / Gold Stamp of Bhutan

This gold stamp was gifted to me by a friend many, many years ago. Nothing too fancy, prices range from 6 to 30 euros on ebay. This stamp is actually the only reason I know that a country called "Bhutan" exists in the world!

2. King Edward VII Gold Sovereign (Embedded in Necklace)

Another family memento, a gold sovereign of Edward VII printed on 1903. Dunno if it has any special collector's price, the gold is worth about 250 euro in weight plus whatever the chain is worth!

And the final gold item for today is...

3. Gold chain with gold coin thingie

Again, a family memento. It originates somewhere from Arabia or something and I have no idea how much it's worth as I had no scale when @ruth-girl took the pictures! Who cares though! It's nice and shinny. I like shinny!

Ok, that's enough for today! More gold shit to come!

See ya tomorrow!

Sort:

So, which necklace do I get for my work?

Coughs And it's also my birthday today. Perhaps I could get both?!

You can have the last two! I am keeping the stamp though!

Deal! The stamp is all yours! All yours! :P

Lmfao, I'm sure the shapes formed by the gold sovereign of Edward VII are absolutely coincidental!!!

Means not only I noticed :)))
Please note that you took it from different angles !!!

Ruth took the pictures. I have no idea about the shapes :P

Pure coincidence that a penis appeared over the head of Edward...

Like your post. I myself have a coin too, used as a pendant. In the early decades of the 20th Century it was fashion to wear these. BD314634-C34F-401C-8FC7-CB2727299695.jpeg

a great collection, it is really amazing because few people in the world have them and you are one of them, take care of them so that it lasts in your family for centuries, brother blessings

Had 3 coins but someone that broke in some 15 years ago pocketed them, sad thing it was of big sentimental value.

well.. that sucks :(

Nice way to arrange the necklace:))))
