Hello, Steemers!
As a former (and sometimes current) rally driver it's always interesting to know what is cost of renting a top car. WRC2 is not top category, it's just a step below WRC. That's why it's called a WRC2 class.
If we say that price of the car is about 200 000€ (only car without rims and spare parts), we can expect that rent of that type of car would be very expensive. We must also add rally insurance if we destroy car.
So, the rent proposal for snow/gravel events would be like this:
Included in proposal
-Rental of Ford Fiesta R5 in correct spec for event
-Arrival of team as rally schedule
-Running cost for events km and 25km organisers shakedown
-1x Engineer / Lead Technician and 3 x Mechanics.
-All transport cost RSC vehicles, road, ferry and tunnel.
-Travel cost service crew.
-Service truck, all equipment and materials.
-Racing fuel as required for event.
-Complete full spares package
-Service crew accommodation and food
Excluded in proposal
-Entry fee
-Tyre costs
-Rally car on event insurance (to be arranged to suit both parties)
-Driver/Co-driver costs
-Additional service space
-Stickering/Decoration of rally car
-Recce costs.
Notes
The total amount of the rally must be paid before the event.
In case of accident an insurance excess (your cost) shall be arranged to suit insurance.
Package price for ERC Latvia Rally €31,000.
Package price for WRC Sweden €38,000.
Franchise for rally insurance is about 25,000€ (that means that if you crash it with damage until 25,000€, it will be repaired with your money; damage that costs more then 25,000€ is covered by insurance).
Rally sport is very expensive. You must add entry fee that is about 3,000€ per event. So without sponsorships, you're nowhere (if you're not daddies son :D).
Cheers!
If you need a navigator let me know :-). It is true this a thing poor can just dream when they sleep.
