Match Preview
This is the game of the week for College Football fans and it is certainly a match to watch! This is the 99th meeting between the #1 Ranked, the Alabama Crimson Tide and #9 Ranked, the Tennessee Volunteers! The fact file shows us that Alabama has won 9 straight games against Tennessee! This match will be played at the Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, TN and will be live on your television sets on Saturday. This heavy-weight match up will be certainly an exceptional showdown of College Football; as these two rivals face each other in a match for the ages.
This game will be aired live on CBS this Saturday afternoon at:
(2:30 PM Central Time)
(3:30 PM Eastern Time)
(12:30 PM West Coast Time)
Last Meeting:
Alabama and Tennessee last met on October 24, 2015, when
the Alabama Crimson Tide played at home and defeated the Volunteers
with a score of 19-14.
Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama comes into this game looking for their 7th consecutive victory. In their last victory, they were on the road against Arkansas and beat them with a score of 49-30. All the bets on the Crimson Tide last game were covered with a point spread of -14.5; QB, Jalen Hurts, passed for 253 yards, he threw 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception, RB, Damien Harris, rushed for 122 yards, and WR, ArDarius Stewart, had 120 receiving yards.
Interesting Fact: Alabama has a record of 6-0 along a record against the football spread of 4-2.
Alabama's Injury Report
For the Alabama Crimson Tides, the injuries do not look great. With RB, Damian Harris, out with a sprained ankle and star Wide Receivers, ArDarius Stewart and Robert Roster are dealing with knee injuries as well.
Tennessee Volunteers
Tennessee suffered a loss as visitors, against Texas A&M with an overtime score of 38-45 in their last outing. Wagers on the Volunteers covered the spread as +7.5 underdogs with the total score going over the betting line of 60.5 points. QB, Joshua Dobbs, threw for 398 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions. RB, Alvin Kamara, rushed for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns to go along with 161 receiving yards and a TD! Tennessee is currently 5-1 overall together with an ATS record of 3-3. The rivalry between the two teams promises to raise all current statistics of both the teams when time comes on Saturday. However, Tennessee has a great opportunity this week to play themselves right back into the playoff conversation. It won’t be easy however, as they struggled with Aggie quarterback, Trevor Knight, this past week who plays a similar style to Alabama’s QB Jalen Hurts.
Tennessee Injury Report
Tennessee's running back, Jalen Hurd, is a huge doubt after suffering a concussion. The Tennessee Volunteers will surely miss him due to his star role throughout the season. Tennessee's linebacker, Darrin Kirkland Jr, is also questionable with an ankle injury.

How to Play
Vote on the main post to enter the bet (main post rewards will also be added to the Stake Pool).
Cast your Vote Bet on ONLY ONE outcome for which you bet on for the win (Multiple comment votes will be automatically disqualified by the script, unvote and revote counts as multiple votes and will be disqualified).
After 24 hours, the post and related game comments payout to the pool; remember 25% voters rewards are deducted from the total post payout value first as per Steem curation rules. Voters are rewarded in standard fashion in proportion to their Steem Power holdings.
The Stake Pool:
The remaining 75% of the total payout is paid out in 50% Steem Power and 50% in liquid currencies, the latter now varies in payout ratio after the new fork. To make the process less complicated, we have decided to use all paid out SBD to buy Steem in the internal market to create a grand total Steem Stake Pool.
30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.
70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.
Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.
Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.
Entry cut-off time is the earlier of the post payout or the start of the event.

@steemsports in the unlikely event that when the Stake Pool is divided up between the winners and the nomenclature resolution goes below the third decimal place (example: 0.0001), then Steem decimal restrictions won’t allow a payout and the pool will carry over to the next game.

Alabama!!win!!
Ok join the crowd
Alabama to cover the spread.
Spread does not count on this specific game! :) Straight up!
Roll Tide. Alabama all the way.
Forest Gump was from ALABAMA!
Roll Tide~
Should be a super low scoring game by college standards. Expect the Tenn defense to step up and make this a fight to the end.
Alabama makes it ten in a row against Tennessee!
Allabama!!
By a landslide...49-10

Hey there, can you elaborate on live updates?
You forgot to post the options.
Thanks for the reminder, @kooshikoo! :)
You are ,most welcome! I am eager to vote.
Nice thanks friend
@steemsports
Alabama doesn't have to cover the spread?
Hey @shenanigator, for this select game... We decided to switch it up and not have spread! For future purposes, would you like to have spread or no spread for NCAAF and NFL games? :)
no spread
I'd prefer to see a spread, however, many people may not know what +13 and -13 means.
To solve this problem, in the comments below the team logo, you could put -13 (Alabama must win by more than 13 points.)
If using a spread, you'd have to determine what will happen should Alabama win by exactly 13 points.
I like having some games without a spread, but I'd prefer the spread if there is a heavy favorite. A lot of places have Alabama -14 right now. The average money line is somewhere around -550... Using a spread adds a much needed element of uncertainty.
Agreed, I'd be okay with no spread if it's insignificant.
Notes taken... Thanks! :)
Why include the spread...? Here's my two cents...the payout schedule isn't associated with the spread, nor is our vote...we can only cast one vote per contest for one team...it would be different if we could cast 5 votes for Alabama, and the payout schedule was going to take the spread into account...we are each casting a single vote, which is all we are allowed...it should be for the winner...team stats and overall standings are not based on covering the spread either...a win is a win.
That will be taken into consideration....Just pick the team to win via a vote in the upcoming games that I cover....
I'm pretty sure 49-10 covered any spread there might have been to worry about...
The rolling tide of Alabama.
interesting game
Thanks! :)
