Remember when you were a kid and you collected baseball cards? Now you can collect crypto-contracts that correlate with your favorite sports stars. Thanks to the ETH blockchains smart contract capabilities.
I just discovered CryptoSportStars and started collecting immediately. The basic premise is that you buy up contracts at set prices for your favorite sports stars. If somebody else wants to buy that contract, they have to pay double what you paid on it. I don't know how sustainable this is over the long-term, but more sports stars are added to the pool all the time.
According to the developers, they will soon add a betting platform that allows you to collect commissions when bets are placed on the sports stars that you hold.
I just added Russell Westbrook to my collection, and there are plenty more athletes up for grabs. So, if you like sports, this dApp might be one you want to jump on.
