These two London born warriors have graced the Bellator scene for years, each finding new ways to end their opponents with their brilliant, and vicious striking acumen. Paul Daley at 34 years old looks as good as he did when fighting for the Strikeforce championship years ago, his most recent finish over Lorenz Larkin has sealed him as a top 15 welterweight globally...
Michael Page is a much less experienced fighter than Paul Daley in terms of the professional circuit, but he is arguably the most dangerous man at 170 pounds not only in Bellator, but in mixed martial arts... The ferocity of both men have lead way to many explosive finishes inside the cage, some finishes have even led to the end of careers.
The paths of both men have crossed numerous times with with call outs and threats, and it makes sense to find a definitive challenger to Bellator's welterweight belt, and to witness the best British fighter living. Stylistically this could be one of the greatest fights of all time, an absolute striker's delight with neither man fearful of the other's skill set.
With 'MVP' recently showing his boxing prowess, and Daley being amidst in title contender-ship, we have really only had delays with matchmaking these two fighters against each other. Scott Coker, who is the current president of Bellator and former president of Strikeforce has promised us a main event for early 2018 between these two heavy hitters.
Without further interruption from the boxing and kickboxing arts, we may have a legendary fight that settles the war between these two men once and for all. Both men represent England, but each has there own gym and legacy on the line. MVP arguably has much more to lose in this battle as his is on a 12 fight win streak, and is an immaculate 12-0 in his mixed martial arts career...with many more years left.
Daley is a savvy veteran regardless of rank, and he is always a threat when the fight is kept standing. One intricacy between these two men is there knack for finishing spectacularly, and their want for a full stand up fight. Neither man will take this one to the floor, unless Daley becomes hurt and relies on his more simplistic and straight forward double leg. Either way, we can only hope to the stars this one gets made..the fans deserve it!
This is gonna be a massive fight. 2 big UK hopefuls cant wait. I think MVP is a bit faster and slicker but Semtex has that 1 shot and has also hung with Nick Diaz.
