The game of the day in college basketball is sure to be a good one. The 3rd ranked Villanova Wildcats play against the 4th ranked Xavier Musketeers. It tips off at 3:30pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on FOX. It will take place at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati. Villanova is favored by 1.5 points and the over/under is 164.5.

After ripping off 9 straight wins and sitting at the number 1 spot in the country for several weeks, the Villanova Wildcats have lost 2 out of their last 3 games. They fell to St. John’s on February 7th and to Providence on Wednesday night. The Wildcats have fell behind Xavier in the Big East standings but can pull within a half game with a win today. Junior point guard Jalen Brunson will need to bounce back from an awful game and Malik Bridges will need to step us as well.

The Xavier Musketeers come into today’s action on fire. They have won 9 straight games and look like one of the best teams in the country. Xavier has scored 96+ points in 3 out of their last 4 games and are now a perfect 16-0 at home. The crowd will be rocking today and it will be an extremely difficult to play in for the visiting Wildcats.
These two teams did play already this season when they met at Villanova back on January 10th. Xavier was blown out by Villanova 89-65. Trevon Buiett and J.P. Macura struggled big time and only combined for 16 points. These two guys will be ready for redemption today.

Love watching Xavier, shout out to my fellow Minnesotan JP Macura 😈

Xavier always brings their game but Nova was all over them today. They drained some serious bombs from 3 point range in the 2nd half. I've noticed Nova plays some serious defense even if they're up 20 with under a minute left, that team is a contender.
