Gone are the days when teams like AC Milan or Internationale would strike fear in any opposition camp. Although Juventus got to the final twice in recent editions of the UEFA Champions League, it is safe to say that the Italian league has lost its glory. They did not only lose relevance in terms of viewers and quality gameplay but the lost status as one of the giants of European football to the point that they even lost a champions league spot. They have struggled ever since and only got their spot back because of Juventus.

Perhaps the excitement of the English Premier League didn’t let people notice that teams like Milan rivals went on a purchasing spree this summer. Alos, Napoli has been constantly improving themselves over the years. When the two Milan teams locked horns on Sunday night to produce an entertaining display that even the biggest of Serie A fans were shocked, all attention shifted to the Italian teams traveling to play English oppositions. Step forward Napoli and Roma.

Napoli has been in fine form so far this season and is arguably the second-best team in Europe thus far and facing the most in-form team in Europe at the moment looked just the game that will test their quality. Manchester City could have taken the game beyond them in the early stages as the woodwork twice denied them after going two goals up. But that doesn’t take anything away from the way Napoli responded especially in the second half. For the first time this season we finally saw a team match up City’s dominating nature, and they fully deserved that goal albeit from the penalty spot. They were eventually 2-1 losers on the night.

Roma traveled to face the defending champions of England on Wednesday night and gave them, in my opinion, a wake-up call. After going two goals down in the first period, Roma showed Great Spirit to fight back and turned the game on its head right in front of the home fans in England, and although they went on to draw the game, their performance was very good and very organized and noteworthy. They can take solace in the fact that they are 3 points ahead of Atletico Madrid and if they keep up their momentum they should qualify ahead of Atletico which will be a big statement from Italian football.

Paris Saint Germain and Monaco have been representing their country well in recent years, and with the Italian teams improving on a weekly basis, we might just have super exciting and difficult to predict UEFA Champions league back in no time.

you have to take into account the river plate of argentina ... according to the last update of the best teams in the world we are 4th over the juventus (5º) and our DT Gallardo is the 4th best in the world ... at this moment we are in the semifinal of the "libertadores de america cup" and if we win it we will surely go up one more position and in that case, although it would be very difficult, if we won the club world cup who tells you we are the best team in the world

i just upvoted u....please giveit me back too and resteem my post
