This is a true fight for the ages, and it deserves more attention. ESPN has done it's fair share reaching out to the pugilist audience they have, as slim as it may be, but even that is not enough... These are two, two time gold medalists sharing the ring, a feat which has never been done before.
Both men have tasted the utmost victory of receiving the Olympic gold twice, and each man has never tasted defeat professionally. Hundreds of bouts and thousands of hours of amateur experience have in essence prepared both challengers for this Saturday night, and the intangibles of each man will decide the victor.
Guilermo Rigondeaux is nicknamed 'El Chacal', and he is a truly merciless competitor with a dynamite left hand. A perfect shell defense combined with an off tempo and devastating left counter makes Rigo a perfect fighter, and although he moves up two weight classes for this bout, he looks as sharp as ever.
Vasyl Lomachenko is nicknamed 'Hi-Tech', and he moves like something out of the Matrix. His footwork and hand speed become devastating as he never relents, even into deep waters. His slim frame and ability to pivot like lightning has created problems for each one of his opponents, but this is his biggest challenge yet.
Weigh ins today showed both men face to face, and in full form. Both have been motivated and frustrated at the chance to claim a pound for pound and organization title, this fight will determine the true pound for pound king of boxing, at least for the lower weight classes.
The main event between these two immense fighters is a showcase of skill and determination. Rigondeaux is a 37 year old man in this biggest fight of his life, but luckily for him he doesn't look it, nor does he fight like his age. Vasyl is also quite motivated to show he is more than hype, that he is the real deal... Only one can be victor, and the fans win regardless.
Honestly Guilermo can deal with the pressure,, Can lomachenko still look good with a proper undefeated fighter?
We live and see
I think lomachenko lost to Salito or something like that
So he can be beaten
I can't wait to see the fight
He technically lost to a very dirty fighter in Salido in his second pro fight, but I actually believe he won. It will be great, thanks for coming by!
Can't wait for this fight! But I do not see Lomachenko losing in any scenario.
I can't either really.. gonna be great!
Cool post!
Lomanchenko destroy him in six rounds :)
