The 2018 NFL Draft is almost here and we want to take a look at some of the best players that will be hearing their names called in the first round. Today we want to focus on some running backs. Next let’s take a look at Rashaad Penny out of San Diego State. The 5’11 senior back is coming off of one of the most impressive seasons in the history of college football.

Rashaad Penny played all four years of his college ball for the Aztecs at San Diego State. He didn’t get onto the field for any significant action until his sophomore year though. He would get 61 carries for 368 yards and 4 touchdowns as he played as a back up running back.
His junior year would get a little better and he would get twice as many carries and would rush for over 1,000 yards. Penny would score 11 rushing touchdowns as a junior and would also catch 3 touchdown passes. Things were looking up for the underdog kid from California.

And then it happened. Rashaad Penny would have the back field to himself for his senior season and he sure would take advantage of the opportunity. Penny would explode for 289 carries and 2,248 yards! He led the entire country in rushing and was turning heads on a weekly bases. He would average 7.8 yards per carry and that is with every defense he faced trying to key on him and slow down the Aztec running game. Penny ran for 23 touchdowns and caught 2 more in the air. It was simply one of the most productive years that we have ever seen.
What team will jump up and grab this diamond in the rough? Penny could go off the board at any time in the first round. He has shown the durability and explosiveness that NFL coaches love to see. He will be a welcome addition to the team that grabs him and will have an immediate impact this fall.

nice play

very useful information for my predictions and judgments about great and great achievers ... thanks for this precious thing ...

I'm going to put him on my fantasy league!

Penny is easily the best prospect to come out SDST since Marshall Faulk, and while I'll stop short of comparing him to the legendary Faulk, he is an exceptional athlete and has the potential to do great things in the NFL. It should be interesting to see where he goes - like you said, he could land anywhere in the first round.
