The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Seattle Mariners get their 3 game weekend series started tonight when they face off in MLB action. First pitch is scheduled for 9:10pm Central Standard Time and the game can be seen on National Television on the Direct TV MLB Extra Innings Package. It will take place at Safeco Field in Seattle, Washington. The Dodgers are favored at -135 and the over/under is 8 runs.

The Mariners enter tonight’s game 4.5 games back of the first place Houston Astros in the American League West. But the good news for them is that they sit just 2.5 games back of the Oakland A’s in the AL Wild Card race.
They will send starting pitcher Wade LeBlanc to the mound tonight to try and get the opening game win in this series. LeBlanc is having a good year in Seattle and is 7-2 with an ERA of 3.80. His WHIP is one of the best in the MLB at 1.14 among starters.

The Dodgers will counter tonight with Walker Buehler. It has been a decent year so far for Buehler who is 5-4 with and ERA of 3.32. His last start was one of his best in his young career as he went 7 innings and gave up no runs against the Colorado Rockies.
Manny Machado came over to Los Angeles a few weeks ago and now has 26 games under his belt in the National League. But he is only batting .275 and has only connected on 2 home runs thus far.
This is a huge series for both teams tonight. They are each in battles for their playoff lives and there should be a very high intensity all around.

M’s need a good series to stay in the wildcard race.

Totally agree - the A's have been playing so good, they don't appear to be slowing down anytime soon! Hopefully the return of Cano gives them a boost!
