The Champions League is back; well it will soon be back. From the 12th of September 2017, Europe’s finest clubs will once again go toe to toe in the ultimate competition for one of the football's biggest prizes, the UEFA Champions League.
This would be the 62nd consecutive season of the competition, in those many years English teams have only won the competition 12 times which is not impressive when you consider that; that is the same number of times Real Madrid has also won it.
In the past couple of seasons, English teams have experienced a gradual slide in fortune in the Champions league. Only one English team; Chelsea FC has won the competition in the last 8 years. In fact, the slide has been so bad that only one English team (Manchester City) has gone beyond the quarter finals in the past 3 seasons.
This season, however, promises to be much better for English teams than recent seasons as the topsides all have strengthened; acquiring some of the best coaching and playing staff. Also for once, the league will be having 5 teams competing instead of 4. This is due to Manchester United snagging up the UEFA Europa league title last season.
Without much further Ado, let’s get right into the squads that have been registered.
