Will Tiger Woods Ever Win Another Major?

The U.S. Open is in full swing this weekend, but there is one thing missing. The best golfer in the history of the world. Yes, I said it, Tiger Woods is the best ever.
Ironically, it was Tiger’s dominance of the sport that motivated a youngster like Jordan Speith as he grew up and learned how to be one of the best players in the world. Golf’s popularity among our nations youth exploded as Tiger won 14 Majors including 3 U.S. Opens. But did anyone really think that in June of 2008 that it would be the last Major of his career? Talks of 25+ Major Championships not only seemed possible, but likely.
Eight years later, Phil Michelson is approaching 50 years old and still playing top 10 golf every summer yet Tiger, age 41, appears to be done. Before his well publicized DUI last week, Tiger was having a hard time even finding a golf tournament. Did the years of his Navy Seal like training destroy his body? Was he, in fact, on HGH or steroids? Or does he simply have bad luck with a broken down body in what should be a still dominant few years, at least, on the golf course.
America loves a comeback story. We forgive and forget. We love athletes, and we love winners. For the last several years, I have said that Tiger is done. He lost his mental and physical abilities that had previously turned him into an unbeatable machine. His “off the court” issues have taken their toll. The mug shot we all saw last week looks to be a sad ending to one of the greatest sports stories of all time... But now as I sit here, I don't think it's over.
Rock bottom has come and now it's time for Tiger to come back with a vengeance in the spring of 2018. He will only be 42 and with his work ethic and pedigree, anything is possible. I, for one, will be rooting for him. And what better way to shock the world, then to be back 1 year from now and win the 2018 U.S. Open, exactly 10 years after his last major win.

Absolutely not . He is done !

Really feel for Tiger. I am afraid he is done as the body is just not what it used to be. Continuing rehab has completely wrecked his chances. Back, knee, you name it.

Tiger is a legend and it would have been nice to see him stay fit. His record already is amazing. Imagine if he had of been on course more in the past 5-7 years.

Good point. Reality is that we all have our pick time to shine and should take full advantage of it. Eventhough he should not give up, issue with some sportsmen, however, is not to know when to retire and focus their energy and time on other thing which might bring more success and hapiness to them. I wish him success- Thanks for sharing @steemsports and great comment @grimboslice819 upvoted

Thank you guys for reading and commenting. Time will tell if he has one more run in him and I hope he does.

The same here and thanks for sharing

A better question: "Will Tiger Woods ever begin making better life decisions?"

Good question. He had everything.

@steemsports. He needs rehab, a slap in the face, and a year of celibacy. After that, he needs to stop being coached on new swings, revert back to his original swing, and we can hope for an 80% Tiger at the Masters in 2 years. If all this is done, I believe he still has it in him!

I said he'd never win another major after the whole cheating scandal, my golf junkie uncle called me crazy :)

got talent, could make it if can recover soon

Anyone miss Tiger Woods? He used to be in the news daily for years, now he may never win again :(

Nope, I don't think he will be able to make a comeback.

hes fucking done . put a fork in em!

FROM BEST TO WORST !

Unfortunately he will most likely.... not win again! Unless miraculously, all the stars align and he gets extremely lucky, I just cant see it happening. Thanks for posting and I'm following you :)

Most probably No.

Nope, with his latest actions with xanax, hes retired.

No, it's time to give up on this whole tiger woods comeback thing

The question should have been "Will Tiger ever finish 4 rounds in a PGA tournament again?" The answer would still be the same. A Major? Seriously? The guy is done.

The tiger has gone ...back to the woods
His game is done... the roar is silent

When you live in Florida and Southern CA, and go from lean and skinny to pumped up in a quick time period, your doctor is from Canada and he gets busted with PEDs, well hmm.. why is your doctor from Canada again?

I have always wondered about that.

One sign of use is bad knees as well. Im still wondering and have no idea if he did, but so odd to habe a doctor from another country and he gets busted. I took heat for years saying our cycling hero was juicing and people thought I was unpatiotic. Then when hes caught apparently they all knew, it was self evident, and forget about hassling me.

I hope and believe that Tiger will come back strongly.

Tiger has been toast for a while now, the higher you get the bigger the fall. Mental and physical at a low point now it is highly inprobable he will ever return to the top

I think his day has come and gone.

Tiger is down but not out. I think he could do it again if he wanted.

I think he will. His going to prove all the haters wrong. LOL

Feel bad for tiger woods. But maybe he will win again in major compitation.

Its not impossible, but I feel the chances are very very slim. The oldest player to win a major was 48, and Tiger is 41. That might not seem too bad, but given Tiger's back issues, his age probably isn't quite indicative of his physical ability. He has tremendous work ethic and can afford the best medical care in world, so I wouldn't rule him out, but its going to be a very difficult thing for him to do. He needs to completely revamp his game so that he can take the stress off his back (as much as one can in golf), and I'm just not sure he has the time to do that.
