I'm also feeling that one day linux will just take over windows. In linux you have better performance, privacy. And also for programmers there is Visual Studio Code which seems to be interesting, but also there is Sublime Text. Not to mention that Linux is free and most of the servers run Linux. IMO when more games start supporting Linux will be the time we can say bye to Windows.
