Wholehearted greetings to all of you! In this publication, we will endeavor to talk about Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO). What essentially LIGO is and what is the commitment of LIGO in the in deciding the gravitational wave? So immediately, how about we begin this intriguing dialog!
Introduction about LIGO Detector :

2017s Nobel Prize in Physics which was being awarded in Sweden has been dispersed among three researchers specifically Rainer Weiss, Barry C. Barish, and Kip S. Thorne. Each of the three of these researchers is from America. Now, what these researchers did? These three researchers assumed an essential job in the production of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) detector and making it functional. This individual LIGO detector watched the gravitational waves. In the event that these researchers didn't take a shot at the LIGO detector, at that point we may have never come to think about the nearness of gravitational waves.
History of LIGO Detector :

Now, before going further we ought to have some extra information for the simple comprehension of the subject. A Nobel Prize can be granted to a limit of three laureates. The Nobel Prize referenced above was conveyed intriguingly. Fundamentally, the Nobel Prize sum is roughly $1.1 million and in Swedish currency, it is 9000000 Swedish Kroner. Half of the $1.1 million was given to Rainer Weiss and the rest half of the cash prize of $1.1 million was split between Barry C. Barish and Kip S. Thorne. Here, I will likewise prefer to specify that these honors of Nobel Prize for Literature, Physics and the other individual field is given in the city named Stockholm, Sweden. Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and the Nobel Prize for Peace is given in the city named Oslo, Norway. Oslo is the capital of Norway.

Presently, in 1915, when Albert Einstein has released his research paper on the Theory of General Relativity. He referenced that the gravitational waves exist which is extremely a great thing to know how an individual could think and envision such waves about in excess of a hundred years prior. However, Albert Einstein wasn't right in referencing one thing about the gravitational wave was that these waves are so feeble and fainted that we can't identify them.

In this way, gravitational waves which are coming from long distances of a few million light years turns out to be faint to the point that our human senses can't feel it. In spite of the fact that the effect of gravitational waves occurs. Be that as it may, we can't feel it! In this way, to solve this issue the three American researchers which I have just referenced above who have got the Nobel Prize for their excellent work have made the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) which you can find in the Image No-XYZ. LIGO has two sites in America. One of which is LIGO Hanford Observatory in Richland, Washington and the other is LIGO Livingston, Louisiana.
Working of LIGO Detector :

Now, how LIGO Observatory works? In straight forward words, in the event that I state, at that point, it has a mechanical framework which is utilized to record the sound by intensifying the recurrence. Generally, gravitational waves continue coming. Be that as it may, we can't recognize them. Along these lines, to tackle this issue, LIGO was made.

In LIGO, the laser goes from both the shoulders/sites to the beam splitter and the beam splitter send the laser to the light detector. The whole framework is made delicate so that it is equipped for distinguishing even the minor changes in the recurrence which our human body was unfit to detect. Its working is extremely unpredictable to recognize truly such feeble and fainted out recurrence of gravitational waves. Be that as it may, is truly fascinating work to do!

Along these lines, when the change in the laser recurrence happens is recorded. After processing the lasers, it determines whether it is a gravitational wave or not. Presently, there may be an inquiry you may think about that on our Earth there are such huge numbers of occurrences that continue happening like an earthquake, tidal wave, tsunami and so forth. All in all, this sounds can be of that occurrence too? In the event that you are thinking about this, at that point you are right. Certainly, these were the issues before those researchers and they took a shot at it also. They made such a mechanism, that any locally generated frequencies won't be identified. It will just be overlooked.
Identification Mechanism of Gravitational Waves :

As I previously referenced in the beginning passages that LIGO has two sites and assumes the following:
CASE-1:
The frequency recurrence recorded in one site is diverse to that of the other site; that resembles it is of the local incident and is overlooked.

CASE-2:
Be that as it may, assume a similar fainted frequency recurrence is identified in both the sites then it resembles that it is a gravitational wave.

Along these lines, at long last, out of the blue, we can identify the gravitational waves in the year 2015 and in between the year 2015 - 2017 we have recorded the gravitational waves for four times. The main gravitational wave which was distinguished in 2015 was made as a result of the collision of the two black holes which I have clarified in my previous publication [here]. You can visit my previous post to experience the total insights concerning the occurrence that created the gravitational waves. Afterward, the gravitational waves made as a result of the different causes were additionally recorded.
CONCLUSION :

With the exception of LIGO of United States, there are different observatories additionally existing for identifying the gravitational waves, in particular, GEO600 in Germany, Virgo in Italy and KAGRA in Japan. Obviously, LIGO is the predominant of all these different observatories on the grounds that the primary gravitational waves were recorded in the LIGO and are furnished with cutting edge innovations.

So, we now have a clear idea about the gravitational waves and the LIGO Detector taking reference of both the series of this post. I hope it was an interesting discussion for you all and have learned a few new things here. With this successor post of Vol-1, I hence conclude the series of "The Advanced Guide to Gravitational Waves". With the new morning, a new hope, I will bring some more interesting publications like this! Hi @crazy-facts. I see you have been doing well here on Steem. That's awesome! I am just checking up on everyone who is followed by the Steem Terminal and just wanted to let you know that if you ever have any questions or need any help we at the Terminal are here for you!
Thanks a lot, @derekrichardson for this motivation! I will surely reach you if I find any sort of query!
My pleasure. As I'm going through checking on everyone we follow I'm finding many people who have become inactive and stopped posting here on Steem, so when I see someone who is active doing really well like you are it makes me really happy to see it. Keep on Steeming!

Thank You very much for Your post. I think that cosmic space is most interesting thing. The mankind is on the way to distant stars. I hope that sooner or later the Dreams about other worlds become reality. Let's see. Good job anyway.

Hi @wallyt! Thanks for showing your interest in reading my post. I am really honored with your appreciation. Space is such an entity which is beyond our imagination. Whenever we think we got the complete details about a particular test, new things pop up!
There are already so many planets like our Earth, researchers have found out where they think habitation is possible. Many renowned scholars are already working on it to gather and study the complete details about those planets. So, who knows that earlier which was not expected might get true in distant future! 😉

What if gravitational waves were electromagnetic in nature?
Hi @athconnect, thanks for asking this question!
First of all, gravitational waves are not electromagnetic in nature because these waves are not created by the movement of charges. Rather these gravitational waves are disturbances formed in the geometry of spacetime which propagates at the speed of light.
I will consider you going through my previous post for understanding the complete picture of the gravitational waves the link of which is mentioned in this post itself!
Great article @crazy-facts, it was very interesting to read of how this fascinating instrument works, and also how it uses 2 sites to cross reference the data and eliminate all local distubances, and only record the real gravitational waves.
And thank you for mentioning Stockholm, that's where I live and I see the City Hall most days, where the Nobel Prize is delivered, I have only been able to see the ceremony on TV so far, but it's truly magnificent.
Thanks a lot, my friend @flaxz. I am really happy seeing that my hard work proved to be useful for you. I really appreciate the time you put in reading my publications! 🧚♂️
I can imagine how magnificent it will be looking like! It was a pleasure knowing that by coincident you are living in the same city of Stockholm. I personally like Sweden a lot.
