this is great! I recently discussed the matter with @justtryme90 and @lemouth, as I was quite worried about this. Especially paywalled papers, as "re-telling" and "commercial use"(what blogging on steemit is) are prohibited (they are not "Fair Use") and there are no clear rules between "own creation" and the "re-telling" if you write an article about something. @lemouth was able to calm me down in this manner, but surely copyright is an essential topic for Steemians! As I wanted to like your article more than once, I upvoted every single comment of yours. You deserve it for this important guideline! Resteemed!

haha thanks! But this post only scratches the most obvious surfaces - I think sufficient for all of us to be legally safe to an extent on par with say Facebook and YouTube. But there are so many nitty gritty aspects that go way over my head... Worry about that later lol
